I'm a big fan of sports and I can say I had never seen roller derby before attending the Mass Attack Championship event, and I think I'm sold! What a fun experience it was to see these adult women battle it out in a pretty long and complicated bout (match).  I couldn't even begin to explain the rules as I don't fully understand them yet, but I'm sure I will someday! (Rules Here) Either way, watching these girls battle made me miss playing all the sports I was apart of when I was younger, and the team bonding you get from sports.

Here are a few more pictures! (the rest are on my Facebook page)

League Champions - Mass Murdah

I'd like to thank Banshee and Diva for letting me in and being very welcoming.  Be sure to check roller derby out if you haven't before, it's a fun time!

You can find more out about this league by visiting their webpage Mass Attack Roller Derby

The zoo can be a great place to take pictures of animals you'd never have the chance of shooting anywhere else, and you can definitely get some captivating shots, but if you are there with your little one, enjoy them instead! I think I took 10 shots of animals in the few hours we were there, but I did have a blast with my son.

The dogs were having fun outside the other day, my wife was spraying them with the hose and I decided I'd go grab my camera and press the shutter button a few times on them just for fun. Let me tell you, they were not impressed! I think more than anything they were confused as to why I wasn't playing with them instead of pointing some weird object at them while calling their names.

Vocalist of Shipyard Wreck James Gagne

Today I got the pleasure of getting to walk down the street to the Fairhaven city hall and listen to some great songs from one of the best local bands in the area. Shipyard Wreck plays some amazing blues/jazz inspired original music as well as great covers of all different types. James Gagne's vocals are amazing, and powerful. I recommend anyone to take a listen to one of their songs, or catch them live sometime.
